Terms of Service

ZAHN Management UK Ltd  ·  Effective 15 January 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of the ZAHN mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by ZAHN Management UK Ltd. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old in the United Kingdom, or above the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (which may be up to 16 in certain EU member states), to use the Services.

By using ZAHN, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are legally permitted to enter into a binding agreement
  • All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete
  • You are not prohibited from using the Services under any applicable law or regulation

Account registration

Certain features of the Services require you to create an account. You agree to:

  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorised access to or use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

Use of the services

You agree to use the Services lawfully, responsibly, and in good faith. You must not:

  • Use the Services to harass, stalk, threaten, or harm others
  • Attempt to copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App or its software
  • Misrepresent your identity or intentionally manipulate location data
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Services
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code

We may investigate suspected misuse and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination.

Location-based features and safety disclaimer Key section

ZAHN offers location-based features including live location sharing, Ghosting (temporary location pause), Saved Spots, and check-ins.

ZAHN is not an emergency service and does not replace law enforcement or emergency responders. If you are in immediate danger, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Services do not guarantee personal safety and must not be relied upon as your sole means of safety in any situation
  • Location data may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable due to technical, network, device, or third-party limitations
  • ZAHN cannot guarantee that a contact has received, viewed, or acted upon any location share or check-in notification
  • Network connectivity and GPS accuracy are outside ZAHN's control and may affect the reliability of the Services at any time
  • You are solely responsible for your own safety decisions

User content

You may submit content such as feedback or feature-related input. By submitting content, you grant ZAHN a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute such content solely to the extent necessary for operating and improving the Services. You retain ownership of any content you submit.

You must not submit content that:

  • Is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or discriminatory
  • Contains personal data of others without lawful consent
  • Infringes intellectual property or other legal rights

We reserve the right to remove or moderate content at our discretion.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Services, including software, designs, features, trademarks, and branding, are owned by or licensed to ZAHN Management UK Ltd. You are granted a limited, personal, non-commercial right to use the Services. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

Third-party services and app store terms

The Services may rely on third-party platforms or infrastructure to function. ZAHN does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their availability, performance, security, or data-handling practices. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

Apple App Store

If you download the ZAHN app via the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and ZAHN only, and not with Apple Inc. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no responsibility for the Services or their content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no warranty obligation with respect to the Services.

Google Play

If you download the ZAHN app via Google Play, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and ZAHN only, and not with Google LLC.

Changes to the services

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or part of the Services at any time. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of material changes. Continued use of the Services after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Services.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your access where:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Your use poses a risk to others or the platform
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the Services or any part of them

Provisions intended to survive termination will remain in effect.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability Key section
a. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation, and we disclaim responsibility for errors, omissions, or reliance on location-based outputs.

b. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZAHN Management UK Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of data, profits, or use, or harm arising from reliance on the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to use the Services in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

Your responsibility for losses

You are responsible for any losses ZAHN suffers as a result of your breach of these Terms, including any costs we incur in connection with investigating or remedying such a breach.

Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a complaint about the Services, please contact us first at legal@zahnapp.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may seek further resolution through applicable consumer dispute resolution services or the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or website. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree that any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
